Weceem 1.0-M2 released
We are pleased to announce the second milestone release of Weceem 1.0. Weceem is a Grails CMS that you can run as a standalone WAR or embed into your application as a plugin.
Building on the advances in 1.0-M1, Weceem 1.0-M2 introduces a number of refinements:
-
New code editor (CodeMirror) for Groovy/GSP/JS/CSS that works better cross-browser
-
New tag wcm:resources to include JS/CSS from a content node
-
New Config option to prevent creation of a default space
-
New security policy features - restricting by specific property values of content types
-
New content node event model
-
Link browser is now enabled in CKEditor
-
Spring Security - The WeceemApp standalone application has been upgraded from Acegi to Spring Security, with the addition of a new reusable Weceem-Spring-Security bridging plugin. This does not affect plugin users because Weceem can work with any security scheme.
-
Fixes for uploaded file handling on Windows platforms
-
Fixes and improvements for auto-publish/auto-archive jobs
-
Security improvements: content interation function results are now filtered based on user's view permissions and multi-role user fixes.
You can download Weceem 1.0-M2 from http://weceem.org or install the plugin with:
grails install-plugin weceem
This release has been extensively tested with Grails 1.3.6.
The next release will be 1.0-RC1 and will contain the final feature set, and is anticipated within the next 2-3 weeks.
We hope you enjoy it!
